A little about me.

My name is Emily and my Chinese name is Hong.

I earned my Bachelors of Computer Science from Calvin University. Undergrad, I interned at Michigan Software Labs where I practiced Android and web development. Notably, I developed an app for a global product release for a fortune 100 company. Currently, I work as a Full Stack Developer at General Motors to support their vision of putting every driver in an electric vehicle by 2035.

A long term career goal of mine is to obtain a PhD in Computer Science. I have always been passionate about increasing ethnic and gender diversity within STEM, so in my future I hope to guide and teach the next generation of diverse leaders.
